Dr. Andy Mack is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a Diplomate in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Mack has dedicated his practice career to helping his patients and putting their needs first. In addition, he is also a member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Southwest Society of Oral Surgeons, American Dental Association, Land of Pines Dental Society, Texas Dental Association, East Texas Dental Society, and International Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds certifications in the American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Basic Life Support.

Dr. Mack is a native of Longview and a graduate of Longview High School. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry graduating Magna Cum Laude in three years. He received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1985 with highest scholastic honors. He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society and went on to complete his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 1989, the largest medical center in the world, where he received full scope training in general anesthesia, facial trauma, pathology, reconstructive surgery, and facial cosmetics.

Dr. Mack returned home to enter private practice in 1989. His practice incorporates all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental implants, outpatient and general anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, pathology, bone grafting, reconstructive orthodontic jaw surgery, facial trauma/ reconstructive surgery, TMJ surgery, and facial cosmetics including Botox® and Restylane® injections. He maintains hospital privileges at Longview Regional Medical Center and Christus Good Shepherd Medical Center.

His civic service includes currently presiding as Mayor of Longview and previously serving on the Longview City Council for nine years, where he was actively involved with many city projects, as well as forging the path for the development of the Lear Park Sports Complex. He served as a member of the Vision 2015 Task Force for the City of Longview. He is a founding board member of Legacy Longview. His dedication to Longview is rooted in his desire to see Longview continue to evolve and develop for future generations. Dr. Mack is committed to have a vested interest in his community and is thankful that his children have settled here and continue his family’s legacy in the dental and medical community’s service to Longview.

Being an avid sports fan and athlete facilitated his heavy involvement in youth sports. He has served as a baseball and softball coach for many years and was president of both baseball and basketball booster clubs while his children were in high school. He also hosted an outdoor television show on the Sportsman channel for four years.

Dr. Mack serves as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church.

His outside interests include hunting, physical fitness, and spending time with his family which includes his wife, Kelly of 39 years, two daughters, Spencer and Madison, and one son, Luke. All three children are honor graduates of Texas A&M University. Spencer graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in May 2014 and completed the orthodontic residency program at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas in August 2016. She currently practices orthodontics with her husband, Andrew Hansen, in Longview, Texas. Madison graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry Dallas, Texas in May 2016. She currently practices dentistry with her uncle, Dr. Chris Mack next door to her Dad. Luke has completed dental school at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas as well as his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Luke now works alongside his Dad at East Texas Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in Longview.
