Chris Johnson, DDS
Dr. Chris Johnson is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon whose credentials and training reflect his commitment to deliver the very best care to his patients and leadership within his specialty. Dr. Chris Johnson attended the University of Oklahoma on academic scholarship where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science. Dr. Johnson continued his education at the University of Oklahoma completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. During his education at the University of Oklahoma, he became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society, President of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Society, and Vice President of his class.
Dr. Johnson pursued four years of advanced specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the prestigious University of Cincinnati. During Residency, he received invaluable training in the areas of general anesthesia, pathology, facial trauma, and facial reconstructive surgery. Dr. Johnson is a Board Certified Surgeon of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
In addition to his surgical training, he holds certifications in the American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Dr. Johnson is also a member of the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southwest Society of Oral Surgeons, American Dental Association, Land of Pines Study Club, Texas Dental Association, and East Texas Dental Society.
Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests span the scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a special focus on dental implants, bone reconstruction, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, outpatient anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery.
He continues to serve the community through local volunteering, coaching his son’s sports teams, and teaching second grade Bible Study at Mobberly Baptist Church. Dr. Johnson also enjoys traveling to Central and South America for numerous mission trips involving cleft lip/cleft palate surgeries and other needed dentoalveolar surgeries.
